Dog's genitals swollen after 'rape' ordeal

WHEN Shela Molema caught a man with her dog in his bedroom, he tried to hide it.
But the little dog jumped into its owners arms.
The man told cops and the SPCA that Shela's accusation was untrue - but the dog's hair was found on his bed.
Now 32-year-old man of Clinton section in Motla Village near Hammanskraal, Tshwane is behind bars and facing a bestiality charge.
Temba cops arrested him at his house on Sunday.
Shela said she paid the man R250 to fix her leaking roof.
He left on Saturday night, promising to return the next day.
Later, Shela noticed that her nine-year-old bitch, Stompie, wasn't home.
At 6.30am she went to fetch the man to complete the job.
"I knocked several times, and he kept saying, "I'm coming to open," she said.
"When I opened the door I couldn't believe what I saw - the man with Stompie in bed!
"He tried to hide Stompie, but she jumped on me.
"Stompie's genitals were swollen and injured.
"I took my dog home and told Tshwane SPCA's inspector Mishack Matlou and the police," Shela said.
"I am disappointed that the man I trusted abused my dog!"
Matlou said vets at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Clinic found Stompie had semen in her genitals and was badly injured.
Constable Herman Moremi said the man would appear in the Moretele Magistrates Court soon.
