Emzini Wezinsizwa actor Magubane dies

The South African television industry must say goodbye to another veteran actor - Shadrack Ngema, who passed away on Saturday.
Ngema made his mark with the role of Magubane on SABC1 sitcom Emzini Wezinsizwa. According to the Sowetan, the actor was admitted to hospital on Saturday after complaining about chest pains.
"His death came as a surprise to us. On Saturday afternoon, he told us that he had a chest pain. We took him to hospital where he was admitted. At about 7.30pm we received the news that he had passed on," Ngema's daughter Siduduzile Ngema said.

Apart from acting, Ngema was also a sports commentator on Ukhozi FM and a presenter. Siduduzile told the Sowetan that her father was always there for his family and did not like conflict.
Ngema also struggled with tuberculosis and diabetes and was apparently in and out of hospital.
His colleague from the show, Jabulani Nkosi, said he was shocked by the news, as he was not aware that the actor unwell.
It has only been a few months since South African television viewers bid farewell to veteran actor Roland Mqwebu, also of Emzini Wezinsizwa fame. Mqwebu passed away in August aged 74.
