A man from Johanneburg has claimed that tikoloshi has forced him to go on diet as each time he tries to cook the tikoloshi would trip power.
Michael Mputhi (42) while others are already in the mood of celebrating Christmas he would not be able to eat since the tikoloshi blocks any effort to cook.
The poor man from Joburg said he has been surviving on Morvite porridge for the past eight months. But it's not because he cannot afford food – it's because he's been forced to diet by a tokoloshe!
Michael said every time he tries to cook, the tokoloshe trips the power. At first he thought his stove was broken, so he bought a new one and even got an electrician to check the wiring. But the problem didn't go away. Michael said he chose to eat Morvite because it was easy to prepare.
"I only mix it with water and eat. I have lost weight, not because I wanted to but because this tokoloshe prevents me from cooking. I buy food but end up giving it to other people before it rots, as I cannot cook it," he said.
Michael said he visited a sangoma but was told people who were doing this wanted to force him out of the place where he's living.
"Living in Joburg is a dog-eat-dog world. If you find a place to stay, there are hundreds more people who want it and if you refuse to move out, they will do anything to kick you out, even using muthi against you," he said. "They are now sending me their tokoloshe to make my life hell."
Michael, who is originally from Protea Glen in Soweto, says he can't move back to his parents' house because he feels he's old enough to stand on his own two feet.
"I just want this tokoloshe to leave me alone. I can't live my life because of the creature."
He appealed for help to get rid of this tokoloshe.
