PHOTOS: First Lady visits New Year babies at hospital

The First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa has visited Mbuya Nehanda Maternity hospital and showered New Year babies with presents.
The visit comes at a time when the government scrapped off maternity charges.
The First Lady had time with all babies born today, 1 January 2018, at Mbuya Nehanda Maternity Hospital, which is housed at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.
The maternity hospital recorded six New Year babies, three girls and three boys as at 11.am.
Among the new borns was a pre-term baby.
Mnangagwa, who was accompanied by women from the ZCC church prayed for the babies, giving a smile to their mothers faces.
She encouraged mothers to take good care of the future leaders of Zimbabwe.
The Principal Nursing Officer at the maternity hospital, Dr Lilian Dodzo commended Amai Mnangagwa for putting the interest of children at heart.
The mothers were on cloud nine after being surprised by goodies from the First Lady and applauded her for the motherly love to the nation.
The First Lady has already toured many health institutions around the country as service delivery takes centre stage.
The government has already directed free medical treatment for people aged 65 years and above, children below five years and pregnant women.
