Zimbabweans to demonstrate at Theresa May's Office

This Friday 19th August Zimbabweans in the UK are urged to converge at the Embassy for a March to No 10 Downing Street for a demonstration where a petition on Zimbabwean issues will be presented to the new Conservative Prime Minister, Theresa May.

While the petition is calling specifically for the deportation of TAKUDZWA KASUKWERE who is studying at Swansea University, it is actually actually urging the United Kingdom, which has now dropped sanctions against Zanu-PF officials, to continue focussing on the suffering that is being caused to Zimbabweans by the Mugabe regime.

The corruption, including theft of diamond proceeds, compulsorily taking private companies and giving them to Zanu-PF officials, who subsequently mismanage them and cause loss of jobs, and ruling without consent through rigging and political intimidation have all left the people with no jobs and in poverty.

At the very least, the activists who are organising the demonstration, including MDC-T, the Vigil and Concerned Zimbabweans, are calling for the United Kingdom to stop accepting repressive leaders from Zimbabwe spending their ill-gotten loot in the UK, by sending their children to study here.
