Zapu, MRP holds joint prayer at Nkomo Statue

Opposition Zapu and Mthwakazi Republic Party on Saturday held a joint prayer at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo's statue to mark his 18 anniversary after he passed on in 1999 on July 1.
This was confirmed by MRP spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo who said ZAPU and MRP on the day held a joint prayer meeting at Joshua Nkomo Statue in Bulawayo.
"The prayer meeting was attended by ZAPU National Executive members that include Organising Secretary Ndodana Moyo, deputy Spokesperson Iphithule Maphosa, Mrs Thaka, Cde Mafu secretary for Culture among others. At the other hand Team MRP was led by its President Mqondisi Moyo, Secretary for Foreign Ackim Mhlanga, Mbonisi Gumbo secretary for information and publicity, National chairman of council Cde Zakhele Ndebele, Xolani Ncube National Youth Chairman, provincial executive members of MRP, among others," he said.
"The joint prayer meeting puts to shame the detractors who are deliberately trying to cause unnecessary tension between the two Matabeleland based parties. This happened when both parties are going to their respective functions." .
