The 2018 presidential aspirant Dr Nkosana Moyo has said the signs of a collapsed economic situation in Zimbabwe are so vividly that people have to wish for a better government to save their lives.
Zimbabwe, the signs of a collapsed economy are all around us. We have crumbling infrastructure with potholes where you can hide a baby giraffe, filthy city centres, the list is endless. One sign stands out though, valiantly trying to light a candle, instead of cursing the darkness: APA is resolutely bringing a new brand of politics to Zimbabwe, a brand driven by core values not convenience and expedience, a style of politics whose focus is to rebuild the country with the right team and skill sets," he said.
Moyo said it is time to step up for the right decisions, not the populist ones.
"It is time to pick the team that will reverse the decline, not one that will produce more of the same. It is time for common sense to prevail. A common sense decision says, I have looked at all the candidates. I have examined what they stand for. I have looked at their words versus their actions and because I want to see my country's economy restored and my children's future guaranteed, I am choosing to go with candidate x," he said.
"We think your X should go next to APA on the ballot paper but the decision remains yours. You owe it to yourself to make a rational decision in the best interests of your country. It is time for heart and mind to converge so that all the signs of a dying country can be replaced by signs of prosperity. Let the cranes come back to our skylines, let the hum of generators die down to be replaced by the roar of industry that is gradually back at full capacity, let Ziscosteel no longer by a substitute for ghost town, let Dunlop Tyres, G & D shoes, CSC echo with the sounds of workers coming in to the morning shift again, Let Kadoma textiles and Bata production lines fly again."
Moyo urged people to think on these things and more, right across wonderful country, once wonderful country and urged them tobring it back to life.
"You know, in your heart of hearts, and logic tells you that APA is the way to go. Share this news with family and friends in town and in the rural areas. Tell them a new day will dawn in Zimbabwe if only they make the right choice. It is time for APA. It is time to bring back a normal life," he said.
