Suspects who are alleged to have throne a bomb that injured 49 people leading to two people dying afterwards are still detained in police cells amid revelations there are striking evidence that they were not involved and they may be released without charge even after they were taken to court on Saturday.
The two Donald Musekiwa and John Zulu are the two men accused of White City Bombings and they were supposed to appear in court today but the security agents are reportedly engaged in talks on how to deal with the issue after it emerged that they might be not the real suspects as evidence emerging is that the suspects wanted are still at large and the police are engaged in the hunt for them.
MDC official Decent Bajila said one rumour says the two arrested suspects are both taxi touts. another says they are trained by by MID (Military Intelligence Department).
"One hopes that they will be prosecuted fairly so that details come out clearly. If found guilty, they must be persecuted," he said.
"One further hopes that their names are not just being thrown into the public with no follow up action as was the case with that list of externalisers that was just published as an end rather than a means to an end. We are not easy to fool."
