Zanu-PF wants MP censured for calling Mnangagwa's wife a 'whore'

Zanu-PF'S Headlands MP Christopher Chingosho's political life is at stake after party national commissar Patrick Chinamasa said he should be censured for allegedly labelling First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa a prostitute.
Chingosho was arrested on Saturday when he allegedly turned temperamental after he was snubbed for an event at Chief Makoni's homestead in Rusape, Makoni Central. He was released on Sunday with police saying they were still investigating the matter.
The Headlands MP also allegedly pointed a gun at Chief Makoni's wife, Redempter Gwasira as he demanded entry into her homestead.
Gwasira is the complainant in the matter.
Chinamasa, who is also Zanu-PF national secretary for finance, on his Twitter handle yesterday said Chingosho's alleged remarks must be condemned with the contempt they deserved, if they were true.
Chinamasa's remarks also came at a time youths in Makoni were plotting to demonstrate against Chingosho.
"Undermining the First Lady and traditional authorities is anathema to the revolutionary party and must be condemned with the contempt it deserves. Investigations will follow to establish whether the Honourable member still represents Zanu-PF's interests in Parliament," Chinamasa said.
"If what we are picking from social media involving our Zanu-PF MP Honourable Chingosho is what transpired, all Zanu-PF members and supporters nationwide must rest assured the party will leave no stone unturned in getting to the root of the matter and taking action against such indiscipline."
Zanu-PF Makoni district co-ordination committee chairperson Albert Nyakuedzwa also weighed in saying the district will make recommendations to the province to take action against Chingosho.
"If it is true that he said that, then we are not able to continue to entertain such type of a character. As a district, we are going to make recommendations to the provincial leadership over the matter," he said.
Nyakuedzwa said youths in Makoni also have the right to express their feelings by handing over a petition.
"On the issue of youths, it is their right to hand over their petition and express their feelings. As a district, we are going to sit down and deliberate and make recommendations to the province," he added.
Auxillia was in Rusape promoting her Nharirire yeMusha programme which seeks to empower communities. She also led a cook out competition.
