Britain dumps MDC Alliance?

President Emmerson Mnangagwa's spokesperson George Charamba has revealed that the UK Ambassador to Zimbabwe advised Tendai Biti, the Deputy President of the MDC led by Nelson Chamisa that Britain is set to normalise relations with Zimbabwe and that the opposition will have to reconcile itself to the hard fact of a Britain that is prepared to work with a ZANU-PF Govt.
Charamba revealed this on his Twitter page.
Said Charamba, "Recently Biti was told by UK Ambassador to Zimbabwe that Britain is set to normalise relations with Zimbabwe, & that the opposition will have to reconcile itself to the hard fact of a Britain that is prepared to work with a ZANU-PF Govt, post elections!"
Charamba also celebrated the fact that President Biden will share a virtual platform with President Mnangagwa to discuss US Policy on ending COVID-19 global threat.
Added Charamba, "Meanwhile on the other side of the Atlantic, President Biden will share a virtual platform with President Mnangagwa to discuss US Policy on ending COVID-19 global threat. Harare already has an invite to this pre-UNGA Summit which US says is for friends of America!!"
