Tito Mboweni who stepped down as South Africa's finance minister as President Cyril Ramaphosa carried out a cabinet reshuffle in the fallout from the worst unrest in the country's democratic history has sent a cryptic message about a 'bit tree collapsing'.
Mboweni, a veteran former governor of the South African Reserve Bank, became finance minister in 2018.
Mboweni's cryptic messages came a few hours after revelations that Arthur Frazer, the former head of Intelligence, has handed over voice recordings, videos, photos and even emails deeply proving President Cyril Ramaphosa's hand in corruption, fraud, kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice.
