CAF inspects Rufaro, NSS

Joshua Knipp, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Stadium Inspector, recently visited Zimbabwe to conduct inspections at the National Sports Stadium and Rufaro Stadium in Harare. Accompanying him were members of the FIFA-appointed Normalization Committee, including Sikhumbuzo Ndebele, Rosemary Mugadza, and FIFA Forward Manager Kudzai Chitima. The inspections took place over Thursday and Friday.
A report detailing the findings of the inspections is expected to be presented to the association in the near future. Both stadiums had previously been banned from hosting international matches due to their failure to meet CAF requirements.
The previous report highlighted several areas that needed attention, including the installation of bucket seats, electronic turnstiles, a Venue Operations Centre (VOC), and renovations to the B-Arena. At the National Sports Stadium, bucket seats are expected to be installed soon, and electronic turnstiles are already on-site, awaiting installation.
