Man kills cheating girlfriend

A man in Shamva, Kennedy Mwaliwanda (37), fatally assaulted his girlfriend, Steria Chaponda (27), after discovering her infidelity.
The incident occurred following an altercation that took place after Mwaliwanda caught Chaponda being intimate with another man at a local bar.
Mashonaland Central deputy police spokesperson Tonny Nyandoro confirmed the murder case. The incident began on June 1 when Mwaliwanda learned of the infidelity. After confronting Chaponda at home, a heated dispute led to him assaulting her.
Chaponda sustained serious injuries and complained of stomach problems the next day. Mwaliwanda bought her milk, which she drank, then vomited and collapsed. Mwaliwanda informed a friend of Chaponda's, who found her dead.
The police have urged couples to seek counseling and avoid resorting to violence when facing disputes.
