Three Robbery Suspects Arrested in Bulawayo

BULAWAYO - Police have arrested three men in connection with a violent robbery at Alticon Logistics in Bulawayo.
Confirming the arrests via their X account, police said officers in Mzilikazi acted swiftly on information received and apprehended Mthabisi Ndlovu (25), Donson Dube (22) and Tatenda Choga (23) on 6 December.
"The suspects, who were covering their faces with balaclavas and armed with okapi knives and a screwdriver, allegedly stormed the company premises and attacked a security guard on duty," police said.
The guard was reportedly blindfolded with plastic, gagged with a cloth and tied with wire before being stabbed three times in the right leg with a screwdriver.
The suspects then attempted to load stolen property into a truck, including 37 six-metre zinc sheets, 13 bundles of plain wire and 23 standard door frames, before being intercepted.
Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the suspects had previously been employed by the company.
