A MAKOKOBA woman has found herself lonely after her husband abandoned her for an inyanga.
Mrs Juby Mudunga (34) was deserted by her husband Francis Didymus Mukahanana after a prolonged conflict that involved a small house - that happens to be a traditional healer.
Ms Mudunga suspects that fowl play by Amai Amanda the Inyanga ended her marriage. ~
"I think akadyiswa (they jinxed him) since she is an Inyanga and all," said the depressed pregnant woman.
The seemingly awe stricken Mudunga told B-Metro that her husband threatened her.
"He openly threatened me on one occasion saying that he wished I die giving birth. I am now afraid since I am seven months pregnant. I am thinking I may die giving birth." she said.
Mudunga and her husband would be parents in the next two months even though there is love lost between the two now.
Mudunga narrated that the fiasco started in December last year when on one night they had a fight.
She smashed his phone when he came back from calling his small house and that is when trouble in paradise started.
"After the fight my husband did not return home for four days. When he came home he told me he had filed charges with the police that I had physically abused him with a pot intending to scald him with hot water which was a lie because I hit him with a shoe," she said.
The husband withdrew the charges.
"He withdrew charges stating that he was forgiving me because of the children," she said.
That is when the Inyanga came into the picture and took over.
"He then left home and moved in with Amai Amanda (the small house) and he is now taking care of her children."
Mukahanana left his responsibilities as a father to his brother.
"Now his brother is taking care of me and the children," she added.
The brother Zedius Musasa (21) acknowledged that he was now the breadwinner of Mukahanana's family.
Mukahanana is said to seldomnly come and visit and atone time even refused to pay for one of his children's medical fees.
"He (Mukahanana) at one point told me to let our injured child die so that we should claim the burial money," she said.
A visit to Amai Amanda at 1658, 4th street Makokoba found the two lovers sitting comfortably at their lovenest. .
Contacted for comment, Amai Amanda denied snatching Mudunga's husband and said Mukahanana and Mudunga separated in good faith.
"The person you are talking about always comes here. She sometimes sends her children to their father. She has never raised this issue with us. I am very sure she is not being honest with you," Amai Amanda said.
Mr Mukahanana said Mudunga misrepresented the issue to B- Metro.
He claimed he divorced Mudunga two months ago. He said the story is not like that as such before the husband snatcher intervened and adviced him not to comment.
"Why don't you tell them you don't have anything to say? She comes here everyday why is it she has never expressed her discontent?" said Amai Amanda.
