A Bulawayo woman Loveness Ndlovu got herself into trouble when she received $773 meant for the payment of school fees from the child's father and later diverted it to her own use.

She had submitted that the husband had accumulated arrears amounting to $773 and the court ordered that the husband pay the money through the clerk of court. the Husband paid the money and Ndlovu collected it.
The husband later made a follow up with the school as to whether the arrears at school had been cleared. He discovered that the debt was still outstanding. He reported the matter top the police leading to the arrest of Ndlovu charge with theft.
Ndlovu appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Charity Maphosa. The magistyrate remanded the matter to a further date for a defence case as the state represented by Kudakwashe Jaravaza closed its case.
When asked in court what he used the money for Ndlovu said she paid part of the outstanding fees and used the other money to buy a laptop for the child while the remaining was used for other needs of the child at school.
She said if the child was without the laptop he should not have completed his grade seven because it was highly needed for the examination.
She also complained that the child's father was not committed to support the children. The two have since separated.
