Zimbabwe led by gangsters since 1980

Mthwakazi Republic Party leader Mqondisi Moyo has said Zimbabwe has been led by gangsters since 1980.

"After 36 years of Zimbabwean independence nothing has happened to better the lives of people in the land of Mthwakazi. It is a fact that Zapu and Zipra fought resolutely and gallantly for this so called independence but the people of Mthwakazi continue wallowing in abject poverty," said Moyo.

"We are all aware that Zanu PF has never won an election since 1980 , instead the whites handed them power on a silver platter because Shonas have been bedfellows with whites since time immemorial. This is further exposed in the battle of Gadade in 1893 where 652 shona batsmen fought side by side with whites against King Lobhengula. Warriors were lost. More than 6000 fell in that battle. We further see their chameleon tendencies during the liberation struggle where Robert Mugabe again connived with whites to ditch Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo the man who introduced him into politics."

He said he reckon the time when the two were in London preparing for positive political arrangements on how they were going to work out a favorable position to rule the country.

"A meeting was supposed to take place in the following morning between Robert Mugabe and Joshua Nkomo, but alas the meeting never took place, a special plane had already arranged by the Britons for Robert Mugabe to fly out of Britain to Tanzania. All this was done so as to avoid him attending the purported meeting with Father Zimbabwe the towering leader and man of peace," Moyo said.

"Indeed Joshua Nkomo was sold a dummy by Robert Mugabe and his handlers. Then it followed the 1980 so called independence which has never benefitted our people up to this day instead has continued to bring misery and loss of lives. If we are to take a look down memory lane and scrutinize the so called government policies by the Zimbabwe government and depict, which one has ever worked for Mthwakazi people."
