The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has come under fire over failure to spell correct the words seperate and remittance but Higher and Tertiary Education Minister Jonathan Moyo has defended the institution shifting the blame on the Public Relations company contracted to produce the billboards for the mistake.
RBZ releases the new bond notes to the public through the banks today (Monday) and has published billboards and specemen of the notes to make the public aware of its features.
On the billboards the word remittance is wrongly spelt as 'remitance'.
Victor Chimbiro said "how can we trust RBZ that can not spell the words 'seperate and remittances'"
Moyo accused him of being ignorant about the issues to do with the billboards.
"If I were you I wouldn't expose my ignorance this way. The spelling faux pas was not made by RBZ but by PR company doing outreach campaign!" Moyo said in a tweet.
But his remarks were disputed by Dr. Admore Tshuma who said "no this is not ignorance at all. It's not about the PR company its RBZ. They hire cheap and incompetent Companies."
Jonathan Moyo once gave a spelling lesson to one of his admirers on Twitter, as he waits to appear in court on charges of abusing his office and misappropriating government money.
