Scramble for 'anointed calendars'

AS controversy continues to surround the church, there was scramble for free 'anointed' calendars this Sunday in Waterfalls.
Congregants at Redeemed Christian Fellowship Ministries (RECFEMI) International were ecstatic after Pastor Hazvinei Muchefa announced that he was going to give anointed calendars with promises of jobs, marriage, family deliverance among other blessings in 2017.
"This calendar is blessed, this calendar is anointed, and this calendar is a promise for all the good things that will come your way this year.
"On that calendar there are 2017 targets such as job, marriage, family deliverance, debts free, school fees, stands, car, business growth, good health and return back of all credits.
"I know these are the things that we always pray for and with faith they are all possible. He is a God of wonders and this is your year as you receive this calendar with anointing," he announced.
What followed after the announcement was chaos as the congregants ran to the man of cloth for the promise of a better year.
Contacted for comment over the concept of 'anointed' calendars, RECFEMI spokesperson Simba Sithole said many had already seen fruits of the calendars which have been distributed since last year.
"Miracles are happening. I know many may not believe this but these are issues of Faith. People are already getting jobs, school fees and groceries.
"All you do is to tick what you pray for on the calendar's targets. But prayer is key to all this, when you tick you have to start working towards the target through prayer," he said.
Sithole argued that the man of cloth has been 'given anointing to break the yoke quoting the book of Isaiah 10 verse 27.
"It shall come to pass in that day. That this burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil."
