Mthwakazi Republic Party delegation led by its President Mqondisi Moyo with its  Matabeleland North provincial chairperson Prince Moyo visited INyathi village Bubi district Matabeleland North province on Tuesday following the triabal war that erupted at the mining area between the Shonas and the Ndebeles over the ownership of the mining claims.

Party spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo said the visit was a follow up on  the merciless and indiscriminate attack on innocent peace loving Mthwakazi citizens by a tribally charged mob of Shona men who call themselves (MaShurugwi).

The media practitioners also joined the tour.

"The group of over 1000 Shona men have taken over two local mines which were formerly owned by White men as it has become the norm where all Mthwakazi's natural resources are being taken over by people from Mashonaland. We are reliable informed that the Mashurugwi cult is being sent by VP Mnangagwa working with the security chefs in both army and ZR Police. Mnangagwa who owns more than 200 mines both in Zimbabwe and Mthwakazi is a dangerous tribalist. It has become the norm within the satanic and acultic ZANU PF party that when ever the so called big shefs want to grab farms and mine, they use either youths, women and or war veterans," Gumbo said.

"The invisible hand that is sponsoring the evil youths in Bubi District has caused untold suffering to innocent Mthwakazi citizens. The Mashurugwi cult that is being sponsored and abated by some corrupt politicians, ZRP and other state security members is going around beating people in Bubi constituency in broad day light and nothing has happened to them. Chronicle reported Monday that the perpetrators have been arrested but information on the ground reveals that actually the 19 Shona men who were arrested were later released without a charge."

He said as MRP officials they were disheartened by what we saw in Bubi District, surprisingly even the government run hospital itself in Bubi district was deserted at the time of their arrival, at the female wards there was only one nurse Manning the whole ward, while at the male wards there was no single nurse on site.

"We waited for over 30 minutes no one came until we had to ask from the three patients who were in wards to direct us to where the victims of Mashurugwi perpetrators were and they told us that they were discharged and the serious ones have been taken to Mpilo hospital," he said.

"We had to go to the homes of some of our members who gave us information about where can we possible find the victims? Thus where we were told to go to Mahamba business centre where we met Mr Sibanda who is one of the victims and he told us that the whole community is now leaving in fear and people no longer walk freely in the area. He said has nothing to do with mining and even other victims included a local soldier on leave, a student nurse, a local council employee, a 19 year old boy also has nothing to do with mining. We managed to visit one of the victims at home and discovered that the number of victims is more that the 10 that has been published because most of the people did not report to the police."

Gumbo said their people have scary scars all over their bodies simple because they are Ndebele who happen to be villagers of iNyathi which is rich in natural resources especially Gold.

"We will not tolerate this if the government of Zimbabwe fail to deal with their so called Mashurugwi cult, we will defend our people in Nyathi in our own way," Mqondisi Moyo  told victims.

Moyo said as MRP they will not allow their people to be treated like this enough is enough.

"We will do all in our power to defend our people and protect them from Shona suprimists. We believe that this is part of the ZANU PF's grand plan of destroying our people, since 1980 they have killed thousands of our people maimed , displaced and worse still forced many into exile especially in South Africa, Botswana and Britain where millions of our people are based," he said.

"While this is happening Shona people are relocating to Mthwakazi in masses and are taking over our natural resources, town stands and farms as part of the 1979 grand plan to eliminate Mthwakazi people. But we will not tolerate this anymore enough is enough."

He said the Shona people who have invaded Bubi District are going around in large numbers carrying axes, knives and swords yet they are not being arrested by the police because they are secretly working with them.

"On the day in question the violence perpetrators came in four vehicles. According to our investigations we have discovered that the Bibi district issue is bigger than what many people think. In fact the two closed mines which are Durban and Clayton mines are being illegally run by a Mafia which involves Army, police and ZANU senior politicians," he said.

"These people who hail from Shurugwi near where VP Mnangagwa also come from are being used by the mafia to illegally enter the mine and dug gold. The two mines actually has the capacity to accommodate over 200 miners each at a single go and yet this is happening illegally. We can not prosper being led by a corrupt mafia."

Gumbo said the beating of people comes a few days after an exposure of a private helicopter which developed a faulty while carrying 22 KGS of gold from Bubi district worth more than US$800 000-00 what a coincidence?

"On our way back we so five army trucks around Nyathi village along Nkayi road and villagers also confirmed that yesterday the army came and coincidentally as they arrive around 19 to 20:00 hours the electricity was also switched off. People are leaving in fear now," he said.

"MRP members in Bibi district who also came to the hospital asked the party to help them repossess their land and control of their communities because even the village heads and other traditional leaders are not being recognized. The Shona invasion of Mthwakazi which dates back to the 1980 Gukurahundi genocide is now being implemented in a smart way and its now focusing on education and economically. As MRP we are ready to defend our people and our God given natural resources."
