Mutare-Masvingo road accident, 'bus overturns and rolls three times'

Zbc News reports that one person has died and several people were injured when a Masvingo bound bus overturned and rolled three times at the thirty kilometre peg along the Mutare-Masvingo highway this morning.

Eyewitnesses said the bus driver attempted to overtake two vehicles at the same time and had to swerve back to his lane on seeing that there were three on coming vehicles ahead resulting in him to lose control.

The eyewitnesses attributed the accident to over speeding and poor judgement.

According to Zbc by the time their crew arrived at the place of accident, most of the victims had already been evacuated to Masvingo general hospital for hospitalisation.

Meanwhile, the name of the deceased is being withheld until the next of kin are advised.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
