Mthwakazi Republic Party has expressed its displeasure hat the Gukurahundi which was launched in Matabeleland in the 1980s is still happening.

The party expressed its concerns during anniversary celebrations in Bulawayo recently.

"In deed our people have the worst experience of the highest form and level of oppression. The most disheartening aspect is that our anniversary or the '11 January statement' comes at a time when the state of affairs in Mthwakazi is at its poorest highest level. We are disheartened that Gukurahundi is still happening at Inyathi and Zanu PF is enjoying this. I would ask the Mthwakazi people to stand up and observe a minute of silence for the souls lost. May their souls rest in peace and finally find justice," reads the statement by MRP..

"One fundamental principle or ideology as Mthwakazi Republic Party is that, it is a people centred organisation grounded on people desired policies and philosophical views. It is one of the first organisations of Mthwakazi which openly demanded the restoration of our country within Mthwakazi. We thank God for giving us the courage to take this initiative of freeing our land which is not an easy tasks. A number of political leaders of Mthwakazi were consulted but even though they loved our ideology in secret places they were not bold enough to come out openly."

The party said to those who are joining us for the first time, Mthwakazi Republic party came into the political playing field on the 11th of January 2014. The party was officially launched at Presbyterian  Church premises in Bulawayo.

"Those whose hands is accountable for the blood of more than 20 000 innocent souls who were brutal murdered by the fifth brigade a force which directly reported to Zanu PF under the leadership of Shiri are still in denial. It is a known fact that Mugabe is still not repentant at his age, this is substantiated by countless number of our Mthwakazi sons and daughters who lost their souls soon after the Gukurahundi genocide," reads the statement.

"Apart from killing our people, Mugabe with his fellow supporters and the nation of Zimbabwe have continued to ensure that they inflict economic, political and social sanctions around Matebeleland regions. Firstly our nation of Mthwakazi whose borders were recognised before 1923 before being merged illegally by the British after colonising us in 1893 after the battle of Gadade. The most trying truth is that Mthwakazi is the richest nation under the Zimbabwean rule but it's people are the most poorest."

The party said in Mthwakazi we have the busiest border not only in Zimbabwe but also in Africa and the world as a whole generating about 2 million US dollars daily but Mthwakazi people at Beitbridge do not benefit on revenue generated there, instead the government employed the corrupt Shona people who are looting the resources of Mthwakazi.

"Furthermore,  we have the Victoria Falls which is one of the seven wonders of the world which is anticipated to be assisting the locals, however the place is managed by the Shona people and the Mthwakazi people are sidelined. The gold that Zimbabwe trades with is mined from Mthwakazi and our people do not benefit. The electricity of which the large portion of it is generated in Mthwakazi in Hwange thermal power station and in Victoria Falls is of no value and benefit what so ever to the local people," the party said.

"It's very painful comrades but it's happening the sooner we appreciate that puts us at an advantage. These are the economic sanctions that I was referring to. The Zimbabwe government and it's people are strategically doing that and it's a planned thing and it is in their party ideology which is the 1979 grand plan. Socially, the government of Zimbabwe is deploying Shona teachers to cripple our education system and they are also empowering their people to have economic superiority over our children and that's a mechanised program of action. The police and all public servants recruited and deployed in Mthwakazi are Shona police who do not understand the local languages and they are abusing our societies. These police officers are impregnating our children and dumping them fatherless in worst cases infecting them with sexual infections. These are social sanctions that I was referring to. Comrades in the struggle the situation is at its worst form."

MRP said all these factors and more necessited the formation of MRP the people's movement.

"As MRP we are not an opposition that intends to start it's program after restoration, rather we are a political organisation at work as we speak and we are very serious and dedicated with that. Within the last three years there are programs we are proud of that we have implemented as promised on our first press statement during the launch of our organisation. Let me take this opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the party for the past three years in operation or at work in Mthwakazi," said the party.

"Since 11 January 2014 up to date, Mthwakazi Republic Party's influence have been felt in our country of Mthwakazi. We have undertaken the reburials program for the Gukurahundi victims in some places which started with the burial of Nehemiah Nkala at Lupane and we now have evidence of the death certificates of Gukurahundi victims and we will use that evidence to the justice system to lobby for justice for these victims. We believe we are the better people to talk about Gukurahundi because this party comprise of the surviving victims of Gukurahundi some who lost their fathers and mothers and some their children. We urge all Shona parties whose fathers or leaders planned this program to shut up about this matter. We the survivors have a right to talk about it and as well as addressing the matter in a way that would be a permanent and satisfactory solution  so deemed by us."

MRP said the second program we have carried out is dealing with education, led by poorest administration of educated fools masquerading as politicians.

"We urge all the communities to follow the example of the Gumede community which never allowed Shona teachers to come with a mission to cripple the standard of education in Mthwakazi. We pay a special tribute to the Mlamuli community for their undestructive support towards Mthwakazi Republic Party. Our appreciation goes to all the communities around Mthwakazi who recognise and feel the influence of Mthwakazi Republic Party. We are not a social media or a brief case party, instead we live with people and we are driven by millions of Mthwakazi within  and  outside Mthwakazi geographical  areas. We believe that social structures and institutions of the society are key and we will not allow Mugabe and Zanu PF to come and destroy our territory. Our education system must be cleaned and protected because currently it is dirty," said the party.

"Among other issues the program that we have carried out under the Mthwakazi two year plan is visiting businesses and institutions around Mthwakazi to have a first hand information about their operations. We discovered that, the government system used against our people by the Zanu PF merciless regime are meant to kill and destroy Mthwakazi. The most painful thing is that, the MDC T which is the project of Zanu PF and its total replica fielded 14 Shona councillors which is the grand plan ideology in Bulawayo City Council and all were implecated in the recent Bulawayo stand scandal. Mugabe and Tsvangirai did nothing about the matter because the councillors were acting on the grand plan mandate. Comrades all these facts testifies that Mthwakazi is dirty and Mthwakazi Republic Party needs to clean up our land."

The party said the most significant program it carried out is establishing intact structures of the party.

"As we speak we have fully fledged national, provincial, districts and ward structures. It is these structures especially the grassroots structures that have made massive submissions for MRP to contests in the 2018 elections. We will participates all the cities  around Mthwakazi and we have no reason to participate in Mashonaland because it is not our country. We do not want to disturb Shonas in their territory and we do not expect them to do the same in Mthwakazi. They are good as neighbours," said MRP.

"We will field Members of Parliaments and Councillors. This resolution was done to prevent the infiltration of our land by Shona people. We want to start the process of restoration by exhausting all the democratic processes first if ever there is democracy under Mugabe and we urge Mugabe not to disturb the will of our people which is to restore their land, because if Zanu PF manipulates the results we will not hesitate to take the struggle to the next level because we do not fear Mugabe and his people."

MRP said within the three years since their existence they have also established social network contacts in all the social network that exists on the Internet.

"Furthermore we have also established our website and it would be a good platform to publish our real stories to the world because the Zimbabwe media is not giving us the attention we deserve. The situation is very hard but that motivates us to do more even with insufficient resources within the purse of the party. Furthermore within the three years we have developed our party constitution which is highly democratic and I must say when  we hold our conference the document would be the supreme guiding institution or branch of our party. We are in this situation because the Mugabe regime does not respect the constitution. MRP is a party that respect and account to the demands of the constitution," said MRP.

"In line with our constitution we have also come up with our party manifesto and the document would be launched during the conference and also it would be endorsed by our people. The document contains all the issues affecting Mthwakazi which directly needs our attention. As MRP we are ready to restore and govern our territory of Mthwakazi. Our programs of action from today going onwards are also contained in our manifesto which was drafted in consultation with our people. We want to get Mthwakazi working, restored and respected by the world as it was before. We want to deal with social problems, economic challenges, technological gaps and the poor political situation currently prevailing in our land. For how long shall we live in fear? For how long shall we continue being cold bloodedly killed? For how long shall we continually survive under discriminatory government mechanised system? Our people are tired and we finally need justice as human beings in our life time and for future generations to come. We are not a self centered party as noted in our founding principles but we care about our people and the future generations."
