LOVE me or die!
That's the ultimatum allegedly given to Nontokozo Dube, a Bulawayo woman whose ex-husband Dumisile Tshuma wants her back two years after they went their separate ways.
Dube who has since taken her ex-husband to court seeking a protection order said she left him because he was abusive.
"We terminated our relationship in September 2015 because of his violent tendencies. He moved on with his life and I did the same. The problem is that he now comes to my home and forces himself on me and when I ask him to leave he refuses declaring that he wants me back," she said. He has allegedly made serious threats to end her life.
"When I refused to reconcile with him, he started threatening to kill me using a gas stove that is in the house," she said.
Dube made it clear that her life was in danger therefore begged the courts to ban Tshuma from visiting or coming near her and to stop his threats.
She also stated that if he wanted to give their eight-year-old daughter anything, he should deliver the parcels to her aunt or mother.
In responding to the allegations, Tshuma dismissed the reports saying he has never threatened his ex-wife.
"I have never threatened her. All I want from her is my car which she took at Drill Hall without my permission," he said.
Magistrate Tancy Dube granted the protection order which bars Tshuma from physically or verbally abusing Dube.
On the issue of the car, they were advised to go to another court which will deal with sharing of property.
