Mugabe promotes 12 Air Force officers

The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Robert Mugabe has promoted 12 Air Force of Zimbabwe officers from the rank of squadron leader to wing commander.
The 12 newly promoted wing commanders were conferred with their new ranks at the Air Force of Zimbabwe headquarters in Harare today.
Addressing senior officers at the conferment of ranks, Vice Air Marshal Jacob Nzvede said professionalism, discipline and dedication to duty are key in any organisation.
The newly promoted wing commanders encouraged other officers to work hard and remain resolute for the benefit of the organisation.
Among the promoted officers is Wing Commander Simon Matingwina who was conferred in absentia as he is currently undergoing his studies in China in line with the organisation's thrust of breeding professional soldiers.
