Residents of Ingezi Ward 14 are appealing to Kadoma City Council and the Zimbabwe Republic Police for the enforcement of the law so that a "garage" that has been set up within the residential area be removed because it is blocking the smooth flow of traffic and is impacting negatively on their daily livelihood.
Residents interviewed said that House 4268 is being used as a garage by it's owner he usually parks cars along the public road blocking other road users and now this has seen the Council's refuse truck failing to collect the rubbish bins in their area.
"We're appealing to the City fathers and the police to enforce the law on the owner of House 4268 for the removal of cars parked along the public road to enable all the residents to access the road and for the council's refuse truck to move freely to come and collect our rubbish bins that have not been collected for the past three months, we tried to talk to the owner of the house but he very arrogant!"said one woman on condition of anonymity.
Another woman also chipped in saying that they have now been forced to dump their rubbish at an undesignated place after council's truck failed to access the road.
"We've been forced to dump the rubbish in the area because the refuse truck is failing to collect the bins due to the cars that are normally parked at House 4268 "garage",so we're appealing to the relevant authorities come and enforce the law!"said another Ward 14 resident.
Contacted for a comment, the owner of House 4268 said that he now has only one vehicle parked blocking the road but would remove it before council's refuse truck comes for their weekly collection.
"Yes there is only one car left now but it belongs to my tenant who is on Karoi but I promise to remove it before (Friday) when council truck comes.!"said House 4268 owner only identified as Baba Jose.
Ward 14 councillor, Cllr Ndonga prophesied ignorant on the ongoings in his ward.
