MDC official Discent Collins Bajila has warned the legisltaors to stop asking Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko questions in Karanga saying they must understand that he is learning the language.
"I am not a fan of Phelekezela Mphoko but I would really like to warn Comrades who despite the fact that they are known to be fluent in English language and actually use it in several debates in Parliament but resort to deep Karanga or Manyika when asking questions to Mphoko," Bajila said.
"These Comrades must know that Mphoko learns Shona from listening to state media and probably reading written material from within the education system, both of which are Zezuru domains."
"If you want to throw your unwritten languages into the faces people, throw them into the faces of those who hide your languages behind theirs instead of those who suffer worse you but from probably similar culprits."
He said beyond Zanu PF, this thing will backfire Comrades.
"You will have better Vendas than Kembo Mohadi, better Kalangas than Ndazi and so forth. If I were Mphoko I would have sought translation and then responded to Nelson Chamisa in IsiXhosa," he said.
"Ayikho lonto makwedini yokuthi ninyuke nehle ngezindimi zenu ezingaziwayo naku mgaqosiseko kube kanti nani anizazi ezakuthi ezikhoyo pha kumgaqosiseko. Ngeny'imini nizozisola ndiyanixelela."
