Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Lazaraus Dokora, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs Mashonaland Central, Martin Dinha, and former Minister of Public Service Nicholas Goche have joined the long list of high profile casualties facing the axe from the ruling Zanu PF party for supporting former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
According to KhulumaAfrica, this follows resolutions by the ZANU PF Mashonaland Central youth league executive to move for their expulsion.
Mnangagwa was fired as Vice President amid allegations of disloyalty by President Mugabe, after 37 years of service.
Other high profile government ministers facing the chop include former Minister of State for Provincial Affairs in Matebeleland South Province, Abednico Ncube; Minister of Cyber Security, Threat Detection and Mitigation, Patrick Chinamasa, Minister of Water, Environment and Climate, Oppah Muchinguri, and the former Minister of Information, Chris Mushowe.
Several other members of parliament and Zanu PF heavyweights are also facing the chop. These include Mazowe West legislator Kazembe Kazembe, Hilary Mombeshora, and Monica Mavhunga.
The expulsions are part of a 'self cleansing' exercise aimed at removing all perceived Lacoste supporters following the sacking of Mnangagwa.
