Opposition United Democratic Movement leader Violet Mariyacha has said the political change that is currently unfolding in the country must be holistically for the benefit of all citizens not Zanu PF alone.

"In the last few days, we have seen the birth of democracy in the past few days, whilst the nation is going through a rollercoaster of mixed emotions, we need assurance of where we are going. We trust that this shift was done for the benefit of all Zimbabweans, the young and the old, the strong and the weak, the poor and the rich," she said.

"Its imperative at this juncture to considers the fundamental rights of humanity; that every Zimbabwean has a right to choose whom they want to lead them. The choice lies with all Zimbabweans to appoint a leader and when. Justice and fairness has always been a wishful thinking; we now believe that justice is a reality in our day. We there for call upon those who are in negotiations to consider the various views of the masses of Zimbabwe on how they sigh for fairness. This fairness should be extended to all of us, including those who are in diaspora as we all know how they contributed to sustain the beloved Zimbabwe."

She said the only fair way for all classes of our nation to speak at the same level is to be allowed to vote.

"Zimbabweans are not asking anything much at this moment but, to be heard as they speak. they want to exercise their God given freedoms. Its within the rights of the masses of Zimbabweans, choose a lead at a bulletin box , not few people appointing themselves in closed office. We are looking forward to elect our democratic leader at the long set date next year. God bless you, God bless and restore joy to the masses of Zimbabwe," she said.
