A Harare woman is demanding paternity tests after her former boyfriend dragged her to court denying responsibility for their unborn baby.

Isaac Ndondo bared it out at the Harare Civil Court in his quest for a protection order against his ex-girlfriend Grace Chaterera.

"Your Worship, I am applying for a protection order against my ex-girlfriend who is in the habit of calling me all the time threatening to hang herself if I deny her pregnancy.

"She harasses me a lot to the point that whenever we meet, she assaults me and tears my clothes apart. She also insults me with vulgar language and also tells people that I am not good in bed.

"She is claiming that I am responsible for her pregnancy since we separated in 2014 and we have never slept together after the separation," said Isaac.

In response, Grace denied  the accusations insisting she is pregnant with Isaacs' baby.

"I do not understand why he is denying his pregnancy because we would come at the saloon with my aunt and also visit his place of residence.

"From the month of June to November, we were sleeping together and I am sure it's his baby .If he is denying his pregnancy we can go for DNA testing after the child is born, "said Grace

Magistrate Lazini Ncube granted the protection order in Isaac's favour.
