Chiwenga first vice president!

If you recall reader, in my article "Commando ministers" that I said the next thing we will hear is that Chiwenga will be the vice president of course their is also Mohadi. Is it a good call and a wise decision or Mr Mnangagwa is just under pressure to promote his close friends? Now we have no doubt at all that Mnangagwa has militalized all civilian institutions.
Is it a strategic move, well I would rather say the pieces of the puzzle have now been put in the right place. This was the plan all together and all the delays and keeping us guessing was just a game. The reality is that the plan has been brewing for a long time and all the positions guaranteed.
Although the plan has come out as planned, a successful coup not coup, what is next for the country? For sure Chiwenga is a darling in the eyes of all those who were tired of Mugabe's authoritarian rule and his uncanning attitude that even the military and close allies were getting tired off.
Indeed, he has support from those that admired his sacrifice and considering that if things had gone wrong what could have been his fate. Anyway, Chiwenga at the moment is the most powerful man in Zimbabwe and definitely the support Mnangagwa needs by his side.
A question that comes into mind then is, are we going to have free and fair elections come 2018? Well, that is a tricky question. But personally, if the electoral ground is fairly placed, with the current presidium, Zanu PF could win the elections provided they make sure that most of Mnangagwa's promises are fulfilled or at least moving towards positive change.
Importantly, people have access to cash and jobs are being created. On the other hand, this makes it difficult for the opposition parties and as long as they are divided, it is a straightjacket for Zanu PF.
