Twitter user, Mmatigari, has clashed with Patson Dzamara after trying to silence the activist following a demand for answers from's the government over his brother Itai Dzamara's alleged abduction more than two years ago.
Patson had twitted about his brother saying, "This man, Itai Dzamara started it all. It's not yet a new Zimbabwe but we will get there. Help me show the ultimate hero some love..."
He also twitted: "When I stood in front of Mugabe & before 50 000 Zanu-PF supporters @ the NSS demanding answers about my brother, that was me ready to take a bullet. When I got abducted, beaten & arrested countless times, that was me doing anything to demand answers. U won't discourage me. Never!"
In response, Mmatigari responded by writing: "The intentions isn't to discourage you Patson. You know what, I marched with u during bondnotes demo, to New Gvt Complex, just saying here, no need for extreme rhetoric - u will take bulllets etc. BTW, u once showed us pics and said u knew where he is, what then happened?"
Patson continued by giving current President Emmerson Mnangagwa two options over the issue: "Far from the fame & donors rubbish, few actually know how personal this is for me. ED has options; engaging or killing me because I will do anything possible to get answers. A dead man can't be 'deadier," he wrote.
An aspiring legislator Fadzayi Mahere supported Patson's call saying, "Nobody wants to live a life of constantly attacking the govt. It's not fun. We'd much rather focus on making a living and enjoying life. When they rob us of that, we're forced to fight. I look forward to having a govt that doesn't make us fight for the right to live a decent life."
A twitter by the name of Robert Mugabe fired back saying: "What surprises me about this Patson kid is that he demands answers from the wrong people when he is friends with the person with all answers. He is is buddies with (Happiton) Bonyongwe who was CIO boss. If CIO took him why didn't he ask their boss also his friend to bring him back?"
Mmatigari later deleted the tweets.
