A 23-YEAR-OLD Epworth man has been arrested for allegedly killing his fellow workmate following a misunderstanding over a broken car window.

James Momberere was not asked to plead to allegations of murder when he appeared before Harare Magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa .

He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court and the matter was remanded to January 25.

Allegations are that on January 9 at around 3pm at Plot 4 Chiremba Road in Hatfield, the accused boarded a Toyota Super GL car (registration number AEG4289) with intention to buy food.

When they arrived, the now deceased Tafadzwa Chiradza is alleged to have confronted Momberere accusing him of reporting to his employer about the broken window of Toyota Super GL which was broken by the accused and had been used by the now deceased.

The accused denied the allegations and a misunderstanding ensued.

Momberere then assaulted Chiradza several times with clenched fists and booted feet on the face and legs.

Chiradza fell on the ground and started vomiting.

Momberere and the other people around then carried Chiradza to a nearby clinic along Azansa road in Hatfield where they were not attended because they did not produce a police report.

They then proceeded to Msasa Park new stands where they picked Chiradza's uncle and proceeded to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.

Chiradza was pronounced dead on admission.

The State was represented by Linda Gadzikwa.
