BAD for business!
Portia Rembani has been blacklisted by her in laws because every time she has a misunderstanding with him, she threatens suicide.
Her persistent threats to harm herself also led to her husband Edgar Tobaiwa declaring that he no longer loved her.
Tobaiwa revealed that his biggest fear was that Rembani was going to live up to her word and commit suicide at his parents' house where they were staying.
Even his efforts to amicably part with the woman failed as she insisted that she was not going anywhere despite being red-carded.
"I have a problem with Rembani who is refusing to leave my home after ending our relationship. She is always threatening to come to my school to cause commotion and commit suicide.
"She has destroyed my relations with other family members because of her behaviour so I ask the court of law to help me send her back to her family because she will commit suicide at my parent's house," said Tobaiwa.
He further revealed that he terminated their relationship a long time ago, but the woman refused to leave, citing that her father was not going to allow her to stay at his house.
"She must vacate my parents' house and I will be supporting my son. I no longer have peace in my life because she is threatening to kill herself," he said.
The presiding magistrate Tancy Dube referred the couple for counselling.
According to a counselling report, the two finally agreed to end their relationship and their parents were involved in resolving the issue. Rembani's father agreed to take back his daughter.
It was agreed that they will follow the traditional procedure where Tobaiwa will pay gupuro as a token to say the marriage has broken down.
The mother-in-law agreed to take responsibility making sure that Rembani will be accompanied by an elderly person.
