There are growing worries within the MDC-T that the the party is close to scuttling its electoral prospects in this year's crunch national elections - amid revelations that the camp loyal to Vice President Dr Thokozani Khupe may be planning to boot out the party's controversially elected leader, Nelson Chamisa.
Meanwhile, Chamisa has also threatened to expel party deputy president Dr Khupe for her continued defiance to recognise him as the leader chosen by the party's National Council.
Adv Chamisa and Dr Khupe have been locked in a battle for the party's presidency following Morgan Tsvangirai's death last month.
A defiant Dr Khupe who has been opposing Adv Chamisa's assumption of power was reportedly given seven days' ultimatum to support Adv Chamisa last week but the deadline has since expired.
