Chamisa's statement on Ndebele leader solicit strong views
Addressing an MDC Alliance rally in Dete, Matabeleland North province, Chamisa said it was disheartening that other tribes other than those with Shona roots were not getting "preferential" treatment in the country.
"We don't want the 'Shonalisation' of Zimbabwe. My government, our government, the people's government will respect all tribes, traditions, languages of all our people," said Chamisa.
According to MDC-T deputy treasurer Charlton Hwende, Chamisa said he is committed to ensuring that when he leaves Office a Ndebele speaking person will take over.
Hwende said, "President @nelsonchamisa said over the weekend that he is committed to ensuring that when he leaves Office a Ndebele speaking person will take over. I agree and add that person should also be a woman."

"My God this human being is impossible to defend! Been uncomfortable with a lot of his big promises, but wanted to give him benefit of doubt. but the childish foot in mouth promises are nerve wrecking! What if pple prefer a Shangaan, a Zezuru, a Tonga or a Karanga? Good gracious!"

"The office should be given to one who is eligible rather than to pass it around to woo tribes."

"It's not up to him becoz an elective conference/congress chooses who occupies positions. The MDC is on the verge of a split again becoz a deceased leader kept on ignoring congress resolutions becoz in his mind the "I prez and I can just do as I please" led him."
"Nelson Chamisa is becoming careless with his speeches. If it was imperative for a Ndebele to take office why did he not follow the due process? Who is he trying to fool? So it's about his gratification now then chimuti kumaNdex kana iye apedza?"It's not up to him becoz an elective conference/congress chooses who occupies positions.
