A 55-year-old Guruve widow approached Guruve magistrate court seeking protection order against her daughter who labelled her a prostitute and witch respectively (today) after she brought in a boyfriend at their homestead.
Guruve magistrate Artwell Sanyatwe heard that Sekai John is not at peace with her biological daughter Pauline Bonface (28) who calls her a prostitute who killed their father to allow her concubines to visit her.
John told the court that she needs the court to protect her from her violent daughter who has since told her to cook on her own in her bedroom after she brought her boyfriend home.
However, Bonface told the magistrate that it was not proper for her biological mother to bring her boyfriends on their father's homestead instead she should go and stay with her partner.
Sanyatwe granted the protection order in favour of John and made it clear that a protection order is not a peace order.
"Your protection order is here by granted for peace to prevail, but let me put this clear, a protection order is not a peace order, you should stay amicably at your home and you should be in talking terms no one is barred from visiting one another.
Bonface you should respect your children because culturally when you want to get married you should stay with your husband not to bring men on the late husband's homestead."
