Grace Mugabe, a hypocrite

Since President Emmerson Mnangagwa started preaching about corruption, heads had been rolling both in Government and private sector. Recently, a list from both the private and public sectors was made public, signalling that the new administration means business.
The President is a practical man as evidenced by what is currently happening. There is no purging but everyone is made to account for the economic crimes they are alleged to have committed.
During the administration of former President Robert Mugabe, there hasn't been serious commitment to absolute eradication of corruption. Mugabe used to talk of corruption but he never fired anyone on corruption allegations. The new administration is leaving no stone unturned.
The recent outburst by Grace Mugabe that his property in Mazowe was invaded has exposed the Mugabe family that they have been defying the principle of one man one farm.
Grace Mugabe took advantage of Mugabe's advanced age to engage in criminal and dirty deals. She has been grabbing land in Mazowe, causing a lot of people to suffer. She even evicted people in Mashonaland Central, and ignored court orders which gave the Manzou farmers right to the land.
She was a boss unto herself to the extent of arm-twisting Zimbabwe National Water Authority to give her exclusive water rights to Mazowe Dam.
During his interactions at the World Economic Forum at Davos, President Mnangagwa categorically made it clear that there are no sacred cows on corruption.
Grace Mugabe still thinks she enjoys immunity but she must understand that the new administration means business. She simply has to respect the law. It is high time Grace Mugabe's issues come to the attention of Parliament of Zimbabwe so that she can be summoned either by ZACC or police or even Parliament so that she can explain to the nation how she ended up with 21 farms under her ownership.
All her shenanigans are now coming out. She is currently under investigations on allegations of smuggling ivory. She is obsessed with corruption. She has been smuggling latest cars to South Africa and other neighbouring countries.
Russel Goreraza, her son from the previous marriage, tried as well to grab a gold mine in Kadoma taking advantage of the powers that the Mugabes wielded then.
She was involved in a ring dispute which exposed her profligacy in a sea of poverty. The Government of Zimbabwe would do well if it repossesses Grace Mugabe's farms and properties which belong to the State.
The enactment of the Public Asset Act is a step in the right direction as officials would be expected to declare their assets before assumption of public office.
The courts should make a decision that empowers the miners whose source of livelihood is derived from such mafia operations. The Mugabes have enough to sustain their families and to deprive the empowered miners is very unfair.
People want leadership which listen to the downtrodden. President Mnangagwa is on record saying the voice of the people is the voice of God.
