'Prostitute' girlfriend torments man

A Harare commuter omnibus driver was granted a protection order by Civil Court magistrate after complaining that his commercial sex worker girlfriend was abusive.
Temsen Ngaro, whose kombi plies the Harare to Dande route, appeared before magistrate Lazini Ncube accusing his ex-girlfriend Viola Chingwa of threatening him after he refused to live with her.
"She tells me that I should leave work and live with her. I don't want that because she is a prostitute," he said.
Ngaro also accused Chingwa of using her occupation to resist arrest.
"She threatens to visit my relatives and frame me. She also says that prostitutes cannot be arrested by the police," he said.
Chingwa was not opposed to her ex-boyfriend's application saying that she only confronted him to tell him she was pregnant.
