'ZANU PF is soiling my name' - Runganga

Independent candidate for Mazowe North constituency Shingirai Runganga (30) has distanced himself from smearing campaigns by suspected ZANU PF supporters who are aligning him to opposition National Patriotic Front (NPF).
Runganga told Bulawayo24.com that ZANU PF is in panic mood having realised he is enjoying a huge following.
"I am not surprised that ZANU PF is soiling my name by linking me with NPF having noticed that I am enjoying huge following while they are fighting factions they are now in panic mode," said Runganga.
ZANU PF camp was previously in fire after it fielded two candidates at the nomination court that is Advocate Martin Dinha and Campion Mugweni ahead of the harmonised election in which Dinha finally withdrew after immense pressure from the provincial leadership.
However, Runganga a former Zimbabwe Partnership for Prosperity (ZIPP) member who finally turned tables after seeing that the party was not popular in his constituency.
"I left ZIPP after seeing that the party was not popular hence campaigning on that ticket would cost me, but being independent l can collect all the disgruntled supporters from both ZANU PF and MDC."
The youthful candidate runs a popular Dendere night club in Mvurwi and is a truck driver with the South African Labucon Resources.
He will be battling it out with Elias Malukula (CODE Alliance), Tulani Ndlovu (MDC T) and Campion Mugweni in the harmonised elections.
Apparently he has managed to hold a successful rally at Bare Growth Point in the constituency where he also visited Bare Clinic and managed to fix water problems at the clinic.
