Traffic cop hit by lorry at roadblock

Unconfirmed reports say a Guruve police officer was hit by a lorry while manning a roadblock at Shinje turn off Guruve resulting in him getting seriously injured this morning.

Eye witnesses allege the truck was speeding and failed to stop at junction thereby hitting a police officer before colliding with a Harare bound commuter omnibus.

"The truck was speeding, it hit a cop manning a roadblock breaking his legs and hands in the process before colliding with a Harare bound kombi, several people were injured and were rushed to Guruve hospital," said the source.
