COALITION of Democrats (Code) president, Elton Steers Mangoma has taken one of his tenants to court over a rental dispute.
Mangoma is accusing his tenant Wellington Muzerengwa of breaching an agreement they made in form of rentals at his Glen Norah B house.
The politician claims he had increased rentals from $600 to $750 from May 1 2018 to which the defendant ignored and has failed to fulfill to date.
He now wants the court to decide whether the defendant and all those claiming occupation through him should be evicted forthwith from the premises.
Mangoma and Muzerengwa appeared at Harare Civil Court before Magistrate Milton Serima.
Both parties have agreed to proceed to trial with the onus placed on Mangoma to prove whether his demand is justifiable.
