MDC and ZANU PF MPs team up to feed Bulawayo widows

The MDC Member of Parliament for Nkulumane Kucaca Phulu on Friday partnered with ZANU PF Bulawayo south Member of Parliament Raj Modi to donate groceries to the less fortunate citizens in Bulawayo.
This was revealed by the Chief Executive Officer of United Refineries Busisa Moyo who worked with the two MPs in giving away the hampers.
This afternoon me and two friends Hon. Raj Modi of Bulawayo South and Hon. Kucaca Phulu of Nkulumane did something small but noteworthy thing." Moyo said. "We gave hampers to 1,000 disabled persons, orphans and widows at Sekusile (Nkulumane) and Tshabalala. These are vulnerable people who are affected by looting and they have no access to shops."
Moyo urged all Zimbabweans to join hands and help the less privileged.
"We can come together to do well regardless of affiliation, creed or religion. We want a Zimbabwe where we can come together to do good for ourselves, our children and our neighbours."
Nkulumane is one of the greatest victims of the January 14 violent protests after majority of the shops were destroyed and looted by protestors.
Residents have to travel long distances to the Central Business Districts or other locations in search of basic commodities like bread and mealie meal.
Deputy Minister of Industry Raj Modi has promised to set up temporary shops in the affected areas so that people can have access to basic commodities.
Meanwhile, Busisa Moyo has called upon Zimbabweans to engage in a national dialogue that is broad based, inclusive and candid.
"Dialogue must be broad-based, inclusive, candid but respectful, constructive that puts Zimbabwe first and economy as a priority. Personalities must come second. We need a change of mindset, reset, apologies, repentance, reconciliation, assurances, guarantees, and safeguards."
