Free cervical cancer treatment in Harare

Parirenyatwa Hospital in partnership with Human Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital from China will be offering free cervical cancer screening and treatment for 1000 women.
The institution said it is targeting women who have not done any screening for a period more than 3 years.
Registration for those interested in attending beginning on the 2nd of May.
In 2018 First Lady of Zimbabwe Auxillia Mnangagwa announced the government has inrroduced the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine into the country's routine immunisation programme aimed at reducing cases of cervical cancer.
The vaccine, which is funded by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and the Government of Zimbabwe, is aimed to reach over 800,000 girls aged between 10-14 years old across the country.
Norton Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa encouraged women to utilisie the opportunity and get screened.
"I encourage all women who haven't already, to take advantage of the cervical screening special by CAZ during Cervical Cancer Awareness month. What is being done to help the women in rural areas?" He said.
