MDC-T senator and Deputy Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Obert Gutu has taken an aim at Zanu-PF politburo member and Mines and Mining Development Minister Obert Mpofu after his company injected $22,8 million towards the recapitalisation of ZABG bank.
In a comment on his Facebook wall, Gutu wrote, "How a Government Minister in a struggling economy like Zimbabwe can "raise" US$22 million and buy a whole bank surely boggles the mind....!!."
Gutu continued, "Am I missing something here...??...Whither the diamonds of Marange & Chiadzwa.....!!!!!!...I will call this a festival of looting...!"
Responding to Gutu's post, Ras Chindawi Givemore Chakanyuka posted, they shall lose all what they are buying through looting my brother. The day will come when all these corrupt people will stand trial and get their deserved sentences in court after sentences in court after the Mugabe and his Zanu-PF era is gone like what happened to Saddam and all his henchmen. The day will come and we are waiting."
Mpofu's company, reportedly injected the money after a prospective investor, Unicapital dropped out in the last minute.
"The bank is fully capitalised after an injection of about $22,8 million by Trebor and Khays."
