Former MDC-T Spokesperson Linda Masarira has revealed that she is writing a tell-all book about how she started an organic anti-Mugabe protest that was hijacked by some MDC activists.

She announced her plans after reading the book Two Weeks in November by Douglas Rogers.

The Firebrand President of Labour, Economists and African Democrats (LEAD) said, "After reading this book with 48 pages to go, I am happy Douglas Rogers articulated most of the things I said in 2018 and received terrible backlash from MDC parrots.

"I am writing my own book on the events that lead to the coup starting from how an organic protest to remove Mugabe led by myself and Tendai Lynnette Mudehwe was hijacked by pseudo activists. The struggle continues unabated."

In 2017 Masarira was convicted by Mbare magistrate Stanford Mambanje, who acquitted four of her co-accused human rights activists for shutting down most businesses, government offices, schools and hospitals in the biggest act of public defiance against former  President Robert Mugabe.

The protest annoyed Mugabe amid escalating economic and political crises in the country, with the nonagenarian alleging the protests were sponsored by foreign States.

She was convicted for contravening Section 38 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23 for allegedly obstructing or endangering free movements of persons or vehicles during the #ShutdownZim2016 anti-government protests.

In convicting Masarira, magistrate Mambanje labelled the pro-democracy campaigner "a notorious activist" and "a social media agitator."
