Mola honoured with Tonga Constitution launch

The Zimbabwe 2013 constitution has been translated into all indigenous languages in Zimbabwe.
Mola, in the Omay communal lands, will headline the distribution and unpacking of the ChiTonga version on Thursday, 11th July 2019.
Further launches will be held in Binga, Kamativi, Karuyangwe and Makwa on dates yet to be advised.
The Project Coordinator for Gokwe Diocese under CCJP, Mr Takemore Chamboko, who is coordinating the exercise, was happy with the progress made so far.
He thanked the European Union (EU) for sponsoring the exercise of translating Zimbabwe's constitution into vernacular languages.
Mr Chamboko observed that although "the proposal (to the EU) was initially for the ChiTonga translation, the donor felt like doing Justice to other indigenous languages and incorporated all indigenous languages." Four hundred thousand copies have been printed to date for distribution to communities across Zimbabwe.
This is the first such large scale project involving the translation of the Zimbabwe constitution into ChiTonga and other indigenous languages.
