VP Mujuru dedicates award to all women in Zimbabwe

Vice President, Joice Mujuru has dedicated the distinguished African-Amazon award 2012 she recently won in Dubai to all the women in Zimbabwe.
The award is in recognition of Cde Mujuru's role in continental leadership and protecting vulnerable women and children. Addressing hundreds of people who attended congratulatory celebrations held at Bindura Primary School, Mujuru said the award reflects the significant role local women play in national development. She said the accolade serves as a reminder that the struggle for women emancipation is worth pursuing for the benefit of future generations. Mujuru urged women to unite, stand up for what is right and take charge of their own destiny in order to improve themselves. Speaker after speaker who include, Zanu PF Politburo Member, Nicholas Goche described Cde Mujuru as a role model, a woman of dignity, integrity and creativity. Zanu PF Secretary for Women's Affairs, Oppah Muchinguri chronicled Cde Mujuru's visionary leadership qualities from the days of the liberation struggle. The celebrations were organised by the Mashonaland Central Zanu PF Women's League Executive and were attended by the party's politburo and central committee members, senior party and government officials.
