US Embassy invites applications for its 2012 -13 Women Journalist Mentoring Program

The United States Embassy and the Humanitarian Information Facilitation Centre (HIFC) are inviting applications from interested individuals for its 2012- 13 Women Journalists Mentoring Program (WJMP). The intensive program will develop professional writing and leadership skills as well as opportunities for personal and professional growth for both mentors and mentees. Activities will include one-on-one pairing with experienced mentors; group meetings, discussions and trainings; an academic short course; writing evaluation; and some travel.
Participants who successfully complete all elements of the program receive a certificate.
Interested candidates should complete application forms and submit these to the Counselor for Public Affairs, U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section, 7th Floor, Gold Bridge, Eastgate, Harare or e-mail them to hararepas@state.gov and copied to virginia@hifc.info before Friday September 14th 2012, Fax: +263-4-758-802.
