Mazowe Central Member of Parliament Sydney Chidamba is reportedly mobilising village heads in his constituency to fight his ward 10 councillor John Mudzonga (ZANU PF) over a boundary between ward 10 and ward 9.
Chidamba who is eying a top provincial post is trying to fight all those that are not supporting him chief among them Mudzonga.
Chidamba's meeting is scheduled for tomorrow in Chiweshe Rosa and some village heads who spoke to this publication said it was not good for the party to fight each other because of positions.
"We were summoned by our MP who is bitter that his ward councillor is not supporting him on provincial elections so he wants to use us to denounce him and accuse him of selling state land," said one village head.
"It is not good for the party.
Our leaders should just unite and foster development in the constituency and above all in the province," noted another village head.
Chidamba confirmed the meeting but dismissed that he is fighting Mudzonga.
"I was summoned by village heads to discuss with village heads because they want to understand their map.
How can l fight my fellow party councillor, that information is false and we cannot discuss party issues in the media," he said before hanging up.
Meanwhile, Mazowe has the big number of party big wigs and the battle of provincial leadership is emanating from Mazowe district.
