28 May 2021 at 18:19hrs | Views
ZANU PF Mazowe District Coordinating Committee secretary for production Tichaona Chawana has labelled the police force as corrupt.
Addressing residents in Mvurwi today Chawana said the police have become more devious than actual thieves.
"We no longer have a police force in Zimbabwe. The police officers have become thieves themselves. Recently at Mvurwi hospital there was a series of theft cases but the police were reluctant to act," fumed Chawana.
"We hear the x-ray machine was stolen and no action was taken by the police, last time council officials swindled millions of dollars from home seekers and they took time to act only to move when a ZANU official who happens to be the chairperson of the council stepped in."
"ZANU PF is supreme we should police our area because we do not have the police," he added.
He urged people in Mazowe North to vote for the incumbent ZANU PF member of Parliament Campion Mugweni who has began campaigns for 2023 despite missing in the constituency lamenting Covid19 pandemic.
